The Vishay Roederstein MKP1847C AC Filtering devices withstand demanding THB testing — 40C, 93% relative humidity for 56 days at rated voltage — with no alteration to their electrical characteristics.
The capacitors ensure extremely stable capacitance and ESR values over an extended service life under harsh environmental conditions throughout operation. Compared to previous-generation devices, the series provides higher humidity robustness at a lower cost while keeping the same footprint. The robust devices are excellent for input and output filtering in UPS systems, renewable energy inverter grid interfaces, and welding equipment.
These capacitors provide a wide capacitance range from 1μF up to 70µF, with tolerance down to ±10%, and rated voltages of 230VAC, 250VAC, 275VAC, 310VAC, and 350VAC. The devices provide low self-inductance of <1nH per mm of lead spacing, high peak current capabilities up to 750A, and high RMS current up to 26A. Supplied in a flame-retardant plastic case with a resin seal, the robust capacitors provides a high operating temperature to +105C.
